Alex Keefe

Alex is an Emmy-nominated DOCUMENTARY producer-director

Creating powerful character-driven expert-led documentaries and videos.

Alex has created content for the BBC, BBC Ideas, Channel 4, PBS NOVA, Arte, Vice and many others. She has experience shooting in many remote and challenging environments around the world, but is equally as comfortable filming in a studio or indoor set-up.

Alex has a passion for creating content that connects with people. Whether that’s the stories of veterans who have found community and purpose in planting trees, the journey of scientists who have finally discovered an effective vaccine to protect against malaria or the history of an education centre in Oxford that has been connecting children with nature for over 100 years.

Primarily based in Bristol, with a base in London, Alex is willing to travel anywhere to fulfil your project needs.

Feel free to get in contact for availability.

Alex is also an ardent storyteller.

Her story of a remote Buddhist Monastery was published in the Telegraph Travel section, recounting her experience of Dhankar Gompa, discovered in Spiti Valley, a beguiling mountain desert valley found in the Indian Himalayas.

Alex owns a trusty red Honda CB500X and some of her adventures have even been put into words - check out this story in Overland Magazine.

She is also an expedition leader and loves taking groups out into the hills and mountains of the British Isles. Since 2024, she has led groups of young explorers across the Scottish highlands and the Outer Hebrides with the British Exploring Society.
